Senior Executive Director - Authorisation & Fintech
As the Head of Authorisation within the Financial Services Regulatory Authority, Wai Lum oversees the licensing of financial services firms in the banking, insurance, payments and capital markets sector.
Wai Lum also spearheads ADGM’s regulatory strategy in financial technology and innovation. He has been instrumental in shaping the fintech landscape in the UAE, pioneering several first-in-the-region regulatory initiatives, including ADGM’s regulatory frameworks for digital assets.
Prior to joining ADGM, Wai Lum was with the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Wai Lum graduated from Imperial College, London with a Master of Engineering and holds a Master of Science in Applied Finance from the National University of Singapore.
