Amar Kuchinad serves as the Global CEO of Copper.co, a leading digital asset infrastructure provider offering custody, prime services, and settlement solutions. With a diverse background spanning traditional finance and fintech innovation, Amar brings a wealth of experience to drive Copper's institutional-first approach.
Amar's career began at Credit Suisse First Boston after earning an AB in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University. He later became a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, heading the U.S. Portfolio Credit Trading desk and relaunching the U.S. Structured Equity Derivatives trading business.
Transitioning to the regulatory sphere, Amar served as a Senior Policy Advisor at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, providing valuable market practitioner insights across divisions. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to found Electronifie, a SEC-registered alternative trading platform, which was later acquired by Trumid.
At Trumid Financial, Amar took on the role of Chief Strategy Officer, overseeing the company's strategic direction for its electronic corporate bond marketplace. Most recently, he served as a Senior Managing Director at Pretium Partners, an alternative asset manager with over $50 billion in AUM, where he was responsible for technology, data, analytics, and risk across the management company and its operating subsidiaries.
