Mr. Jennings is the Head of Policy and General Counsel of a16z crypto, where he oversees the firm's investments, manages various regulatory and policy matters, and advises the firm's portfolio companies. He was previously a partner at Latham & Watkins in its capital markets and emerging companies group, and co-chaired its global blockchain and cryptocurrency task force. In that role, Mr. Jennings acted as lead counsel for nearly every large investor in the crypto sector, and he was a go-to, trusted advisor for countless startups and crypto projects. Finally, Mr. Jennings has written extensively about legal and policy frameworks for crypto, as well as on the design of decentralized systems.
